Taking Tea In Moroccan Fashion
At the end of my Morocco trip, I went on a day trip to Ourika Valley in the Atlas Mountain in Morocco. Ourika Valley is only a few hours away from the bustling Marrakesh, but the scenery is breathtaking, the surrounding was tranquil and so peaceful. While I was there, my tour guide took me to visit a traditional Berber home. I was told the Berbers show their home to tourists to make some extra income and I was happy that my travel help stimulate the local economy. During the visit, our very generous host served us Moroccan mint tea that everyone enjoyed by the river just behind her home. Moroccans take their tea time very seriously and I had the pleasure watching the ritual of making tea and the process it took to make a good cup of mint tea made me appreciate every sip even more.
