Ōta Memorial Museum of Art

Ōta Memorial Museum of Art
This museum may seem small but is actually one of the most important in Japan. Original woodblock prints from the 1800s line the walls of this two-story building, capturing an art form that reached its peak in popularity just before WWI. The serene interior allows visitors to examine the prints in a meditative state. It even has a small rock garden on the first floor for those who wish to cleanse their visual palates.
