Private Shellfish Tasting with Local Fisherman
After touring the marine farms, we had an oyster tasting in a private garden area on the shores of Ostrog. The fisherman and his daughter served homemade wine and sweet, deep red grappa, as well as a pot full of mussels that had just been pulled from the sea and cooked in olive oil, white wine, onion and parsley, served with warm, homemade bread. Yum!! We were also able to swim in the water off the shore, and found a sea cucumber! What a memorable experience.
