Even though I travel for a living, it's a rarity that I get to travel in style. It's usually economy for me, so I was stoked for a change to fly business class on Air France for the first time. Since moving from New York to San Francisco, it's taken some adjusting because flights to Europe are considerably longer from the West Coast. So, it's safe to say that I was a very happy traveler.
Everything from the gourmet meals and impressive wine selection to the friendly service of the flight attendants made me feel relaxed and excited for my trip to Paris. While the lounge at SFO isn't anything special, the lounges at Charles de Gaulle are decadent and spacious. They even have a Clarins spa and passengers can get a free 20-minute facial. I definitely took advantage of that perk.
Upon landing, we headed to Paris' other airport, Orly, for the unveiling of JonOne's recreation of the Air France flag. Hailing from Harlem, the graffiti artist has resided in Paris for 20 years and considers it his home. As a huge fan of street art, it was so exciting to see his design come to life. In fact, the plane will fly on select routes throughout 2016. Very cool, indeed!
