Oratorio de San Felipe Neri
This Baroque church at the heart of Cádiz’s old town is a beautiful confection in its own right, but is best known as the site of a major historical event: the signing of the Spanish Constitution of 1812. Though it was abolished by the monarchy 10 years later, the Constitution was way ahead of its time. A museum attached to the Oratory Church offers a fascinating insight into its creation, significance and everyday life in 19th-century Cádiz.
