We spent three days in Kashgar, China before starting to travel east. One of our greatest adventures was walking through what is known as the old city of Kashgar. There is precious little left, as most of the ancient architecture and structures from this city is being quickly torn down to make way for modern skyscrapers. The winding little streets are from another mythical time, with characters like the one from this photo, selling their wares and minding their business. And sadly, it won't be around very much longer!
