Part of the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias complex, this marine park is so brilliantly designed, and on such a scale, that it makes most aquariums look like goldfish bowls. The site is populated by more than 500 species, from dolphins and sea lions to sharks, jellyfish and crustaceans. Glass tunnels beneath the vast tanks, which contain enough water to fill 15 Olympic-sized swimming pools, provide extraordinary views of full-grown manta rays gliding majestically past at eye level.
