Rose all day
Singapore actually has more than a handful of excellent French restaurants, wine bars, and bistros—but this gem on Circular Road is one of my all-time faves. O Comptoir brings a simple menu of savory buckwheat crepes (like they make in Brittany in northwest France) and an expertly curated list of hard ciders and wines (I highly recommend the rose) to a rehabilitated stretch of restaurants and bars behind Boat Quay. The corner location and open layout provide great people-watching opportunities, especially on weekends when this end of Circular Road is closed to traffic and attracts a fun crowd.
