Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek
From Egyptian mummies to French Impressionists, from ancient Greece to Gaugin and Van Gogh, the collection at the Glyptoteket is staggering, all beautifully displayed in an building built in a Venetian style in 1906 with money from the family that owned the Carlsberg brewery. All this, plus a lovely café with outstanding cakes located in the Winter Garden, where you can sit among the palm trees even in the middle of the Nordic winter. Admission is free on Tuesdays, but that brings the crowds. It’s better to pay and go another day.
