Noves is a small commune just south of Avignon. It resides in the Bouches-du-Rhone department of France and, as we found out, provides very easy access to the entire region of Provence. Being first-timers to Provence we did not know what to expect in small towns such as Noves - but what made it especially magical was the villa Moulin De La Roque. The town itself was also quaint and cozy.
The owners Guy and Gaby Fallon have painstakingly restored an old millhouse over the past 20 years or so into a welcoming place to stay. What made it even more special was the knowledge of Provence that our hosts so eagerly shared with us throughout our stay.
There are different lodging options within the estate and our two bedroom (with living room, kitchen, two bathrooms) quarters in the old mill building was spacious and warm.
Our kids had a lot of fun wandering around the grounds and playing on the trampoline, ping-pong and badminton.
We made two new friends and a lot of memories.
If visiting Provence - look this up. You won't be disappointed!
