The Novelty Hill/Januik Winery was a great place to visit and try a myriad of wines with an excellent cuisine. Food is just as important as the wines and if you are in the Woodinville area looking for a snack, Novelty Hill/Januik Winery is a great spot. Just a tip: most of the wine tasting rooms don't serve food. However, this one has a great menu, gorgeous bar area inside, and outside tables with a garden area and bocci court.
This winery is a distance from the central Woodenville wine tasting rooms, it's also larger and has a big selection. There are so many wineries in Woodinville (nearly 100), we really tried to do our research before going, especially since we had only one day. The Novelty Hill/Januik, Mark Ryan, and Chateau Ste. Michelle came highly recommended, and we found maybe one other and the mead winery to try.
Woodinville came highly recommended by a local who knew we were doing Seattle and a road trip to Olympic Peninsula and the area. On our Seattle trip, we didn't just want to see the city...we had never been to the Pacific northwest, and it was just as important for us to see the country. Woodinville was a great highlight!
