NostraIt’s easy to miss Nostra, which is situated on the first floor of a nondescript building. Even if you did by chance see it, the smart but unfussy interior—black tables, open kitchen, large windows—wouldn’t necessarily indicate anything overly special. But in fact the restaurant has become one of the city’s most celebrated fine-dining destinations, offering up a variety of seasonal set menus (four, six, and eight courses) that feature sustainable and local items like freshly caught salmon and lobster, Icelandic cheeses and lamb, and salads made with homegrown greens. Every dish is immaculately presented in nouveau-cuisine style, and you can begin or end your meal at the adjacent bar, Artson, which serves up equally innovative cocktails; happy hour is between 5-7 p.m. each day.
