The ambitious Norwalk River Valley Trail will one day stretch 38 miles, allowing walkers, hikers, and cyclists to travel from Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk to Rogers Park in Danbury. It’s possible to get a preview of this multipurpose trail with two stretches that have already opened in Norwalk. The section from Union Park to the Maritime Aquarium passes through Lockwood Mathews Park and Oyster Shell Park while closer to EVEN Hotel Norwalk, another stretch passes by Deering Pond. The trail will follow the Norwalk River and be controlled by each town that it passes through. Funding will come primarily from the state, but also from some private donations, so you can be part of building this trail.
