The English Puritans settled Boston’s oldest neighborhood in the early 1600s, but today it’s best known as the city’s Little Italy, home to many Italian restaurants and shops. Much of the Freedom Trail makes its way through the neighborhood, as historic sites including the Paul Revere House and Old North Church are located in the North End. Visit during the summer months and you may time it right to experience one of the neighborhood’s popular festivals.
