If bluegrass gets your toes tapping, Station Inn is your go-to stop on the Nashville circuit. Up-and-coming acoustic talents play the 90-seat Bluebird Café while Acme Feed & Seed spotlights local musicians along with local brews on tap in a 22,000 square foot space. The nightlife scene got even bigger with the 2015 opening of Ascend Amphitheater in a scenic riverfront setting with city skyline views. About the same time, Charlie and Andy Nelson revived their great-great-great- grandfather’s legacy, Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery, which had shuttered in 1909 with the arrival of Prohibition, into a thriving whiskey brand. As for local mixology, The Patterson House remains at the top of its game with its bespoke cocktails. (Just don’t forget to read the rules; The Patterson House has a few—like no cell phones—in true speakeasy style.)
