The NH Collection debuted one of their latest hotels inside the former Palazzo Cinquecento, a sprawling, landscaped compound in the heart of Rome. The 177-room hotel maintained much of the pallazo’s architectural bones, like grand staircases, and marble and wood interiors. Rooms are modern and spacious with big bathrooms, mini bars stocked with premium snack and top shelf liquors, and excellent views of the city. There is also a popular bar downstairs that is bustling in the evenings and packed on the weekends. The bartenders make excellent negronis. From the rooftop terrace you can have a cocktail and take in the views of Roman ruins, like the Baths of Diocletian. Its location is key, directly across from Rome’s central train station and walking distance to Rome’s best attractions, the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia, the Trevi Fountain and so on. an like all NH Hotels, breakfasts are a lavish spread of fresh juices, made-to-order omelettes, berries, smoked salmon and freshly baked breads and danishes.
