Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial

Located about an hour from Hamburg by train, the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial stands as a reminder of the 42,900 prisoners incarcerated at this Nazi concentration camp between 1938 and 1945. The memorial is one of the largest in Germany, with 17 of the original buildings and the majority of the historic site still intact.
