One of the best ways to explore the natural beauty around Ketchikan is by simply setting out on foot along one of the many trails around town. One popular spot is the short, two-kilometer Rainbird Trail. The trailhead is a short walk from the cruise dock—or an even easier taxi ride. Along the Rainbird you’ll walk through fields of giant ferns and thickets of wild berries, eventually leading to a spectacular view of Ketchikan and the Tongass Narrows.
