Native Alaskan Culture

108 Cannery Rd, Hoonah, AK 99829, USA

The town of Hoonah and the Huna Totem Corporation spent nearly 10 years restoring the cannery site. It quickly became the center of Hoonah’s cultural revival, hosting traditional Tlingit songs and dances at the Heritage Center Native Theater. This classic Alaska small town has been on this site, just around the corner from Icy Strait Point, for about 250 years; it relocated here after the original town was crowded off the north side of the strait by glaciers.
