National Museum, Costa Rica

Reminder of the Past
The Costa Rica Army was abolished in 1949 but the former Army headquarters sends a powerful message today: peace and education rather than strive and bloodshed. With bullet holes still visible on some of the turrets the building has been converted into a wonderful museum to displaying the history and natural resources of Costa Rica. An uplifting story in a very difficult corner of the globe.
