as hockey, the Caesar—vodka and spicy tomato juice—was invented back in 1969 by a bartender at the Westin Hotel. A few blocks and several decades away, the bartenders at National have elevated the drink to a whole new level. Along with the traditional celery and lime, they’ve added a skewer of pickle, cheese, and meat, making it a meal in itself.
