Narvik MuseumDiscover the secrets of Narvik's past by learning how the land, sea and people worked together to create an industrial powerhouse in northern Norway.
Exhibitions detail the history of iron-ore mining in the region and the building of the Ofoten Railway that links the port to both the mines of Sweden and its capital, Stockholm.
The museum's home, the former railway administration office, is worthy of the trip alone. The beautiful brick building dates back to 1902 and its well-tended gardens offer a good view of the city and harbor.
