Ungasan Beach, at the southernmost point of the Bukit peninsula, is pure heaven. Miles of white sand stretch on and on along the Indian Ocean—perfect for beachcombing or snorkeling. We often were the only people there besides the local fishermen harvesting their seaweed crops.
Look for signs for the Nammos Beach Club or Karma Kandara Resort on the road to Uluwatu. Park next to the hotel and take in the views from atop the cliff, then descend down through the path into the forest and onto the white sand.
