Used as inspiration for Arendelle in the Disney movie Frozen, the 11-mile-long Nærøyfjord is only 1,600 feet wide in some parts. Many visitors to the dramatic landscape combine a trip along this arm of the Sognefjord with a trip to the villages of Gudvangen and Flåm and a ride on the Flåm railroad. Smart travelers make their own way to the valleys and stay overnight to avoid the tour group crowds.
