The view from the Millennium Seoul Hilton was teasing me the from the minute I walked in. Living in Chicago and New York I'm not much of the hiking type, but how do you say no when such a site is just outside your window! I decided to get up just after dawn one day on my short trip to Seoul to explore the view before me. The hike is comprised entirely of wooden stairs or pavement, It takes just shy of an hour to reach the top and about forty-five minutes to get back down (that's without stopping for Instagram shots...) but it is a relatively relaxing stroll. There is an assortment of public exercise equipment along the trail and it was in high demand as early as seven in the morning. There are scenic overlooks of sprawling Seoul and the trail isn't too crowded in the morning. However, if you are hoping to check out the tower or the famous fence of lovers locks you'll have to go later in the day as they are not open to the public until 10am.
