12km hike across 14 trestles and through 2 tunnels. The rail line was cut through the mountains a century ago and now offers stunning views of the valley and lake. The trestles (now restored) are monuments to the incredible engineering feat required to build and operate the train.
The trail is surrounded by the devastation of a huge 2003 forest fire. It is a stark example of nature's power and re-birth as some areas start to come back to life.
