Head out to East Berlin to see the boxy Soviet style architecture from the GDR dotting the landscape. However you can also get a look inside too!
The Museumswohnung is where time stopped. The development company who is updating these old GDR apartments actually left one apartment untouched and they treat it as a museum. In actuality it really isn't a museum - but they do open the apartment up on Sundays from 2 to 4PM for people to walk through.
The apartment has 4 rooms and a bathroom, and is oozing with 1970's decor. It's quite interesting to see and on top of that it's free.
More information: The Museumswohnung is open every Sunday 2pm-4pm (except holidays), or you can book to visit any day by calling 0151 16 11 44 40.
