Museumpark

Museumpark, Westzeedijk 341, 3015 AA Rotterdam, Netherlands

The creative forces behind this contemporary urban garden extending from the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen to the Kunsthal are Rem Koolhaas’s Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) and French architect Yves Brunier. The garden is laid out in multiple zones, and each zone is meant to give a different impression. The memorial to city engineer G. J. de Jongh—with harbor and street scenes from the period when De Jongh was working in Rotterdam—is especially worth a visit.
