This is one of the most oddball museums in Ukraine. It’s dedicated to the history of water-closet. But don’t treat it ironically. This usual thing of everyday life could be taken as an illustration of civilization progress. Museum guide will tell you how in different eras people handled such eternal and urgent problem as relieving themselves. And, what is more important, how they cleaned their cities from body wastes. Museum represents toilet chairs, created before Christ, toilets from medieval castle, flushing toilet, constructed by Leonardo da Vince, etc. Also museum maintains biggest collection of toilet souvenirs which consists of more than 5 800 exhibits and is listed to Guinness Book of Records. In addition to traditional statuettes of water-closet there are various lighters, tobacco pipe, ashtrays, key rings in form of the toilet bowl as well as signboard WC.
