Museum aan de Stroom
Antwerp’s largest museum towers over the Scheldt River port, and its geometric design is a monolith of glass and red sandstone brick made to look like stacked shipping containers. The panoramic glass walls afford spectacular views of the city, the river and the port. And the museum’s vast collection totals around 470,000 items, many devoted to Antwerp’s history as an international port, including maritime history exhibits and many more showcasing the art, food and cultures that pass through it.
