Lovely Museum For Picasso and Art Fans

One of our favorite things about this museum is its location -- right in the heart of Barcelona‘s Born neighborhood. Carrer Montcada, the street on which you find the Picasso Museum, snakes its way through old stone apartment buildings and its flanks give way to side streets rife with adventure and discovery. The same can be said about the museum. The facility is house in an old stone building whose hallways and passageways are steeped in Barcelona history. Picasso’s works seem to be hiding in every corner of the museum. You’ll be surprised by the paintings you see. While most of us think of Picasso as the guy who did the weird cubist paintings, the work inside the museum suggests something else. You´ll find the standard cubism works, but you’ll also see a seemingly endless amount of colorful works which show that Picasso was a multimedia wizard who did much more than weird, geometrical faces and bodies. This is a fantastic museum to visit!
