Museo Oro Del Peru

Learning Peruvian history through Gold
At Museo del Oro you’ll discover how gold was used by the ancient civilizations of Peru. The collection has amazing gold pieces that are very well-preserved, and also objects made from wood, wool and pottery. It’s very impressive to see these pieces and think about how skilled these people were so many years ago: the use of gold in medicine and funerary events is quite surprising. Museo del Oro is home to the Tumi knife, made of gold and turquoise, shown constantly in all travel guides and on numerous souvernirs from Peru. This museum is an inspiration to anyone who likes history, art and fashion.
