One of Lima’s oldest neighborhoods, Pueblo Libre has lots to offer travelers. For starters, it’s home to one of the city’s top museums, the Museo Larco, that, in addition to exhibits showcasing pre-Columbian cultures such as the Wari, Chimu, and Moche, is famed for an annex that holds a collection of erotic ceramic pieces. The museum café is also a great place to lunch before taking in the National Archaeology Museum. Give yourself time there to experience Peru’s history of through the artifacts its peoples left behind. After soaking up all that culture, pop into El Pisquerito and take a soak in one of the best pisco cocktails you’ll find anywhere in Peru.
