Museo de Arte Español Larreta
Steps from the Barrio Chino lies writer Enrique Larreta’s former summer villa, now home to an appealing collection of Spanish art. Works range from the Middle Ages to the 20th century, and the permanent collection includes furniture, ceramics, and other decorative objects. The neoclassical mansion’s lush Andalusian-style garden—the only one of its kind in South America—is itself worth a visit. The museum offers guided tours and often hosts concerts; ask about getting on the guest list for exclusive nighttime visits (limited to 30 participants) that feature live music and drinks on the second Wednesday of every month.
