Enrique's Collection: Museo Cerralbo
This late 19th century palace, once the home of collector Enrique de Aguilera y Gamboa, is now a wonderful, and very unusual, museum—and that is just what Enrique intended for it to be. The ornate mansion contains an impressive mixture of art (including works by El Greco and Jose Meléndez), sculpture, furnishings, literature, and artifacts curated by Enrique himself, giving it a refreshingly personal feel. It's the perfect place to explore freely, but if you bring kids, keep an eye on them!
