I don't often appreciate "installation art," and I'm not sure that's what you would call this. But this "river" of light on the walkway at the Musee du quai Branly when we visited in May, 2013 was impressive. It was created by a series of projectors using words and names associated with the museum. Charles Sandison is the artist. The 'river' flowed and meandered smoothly, just like a real stream, with eddies and rapids. Kids loved it, getting on their hands and knees to play in it. The museum, which features art and artifacts from around the world excluding Europe, is a fascinating place. It's also nicely located in the 7th arrondissement, making some excellent dining options easily accessible after leaving the exhibition halls.
