Occupying two wings section of an 1881 edifice, the Musée de Beaux-Art de Bordeaux houses one of the most significant collections of European paintings and sculptures outside of Paris
, with a strong representation of Dutch and Flemish masters and Bordeaux artists such as Odilion Redon. Muse at the collection’s oil portraits, landscapes, and navy scenes—and more current figurative and abstract masterpieces. Spanning over five centuries, the works are grouped chronologically, by movement, so if you miss that Rubens or Bruegel, you can easily backtrack.
