Arriving around 2:30pm on a Saturday, I found myself at the back of a 90-minute line at the museum's entrance. As my fingers numbed, I envied the line-jumpers--those with more foresight than I who had printed off tickets in advance. Despite the fact that the exhibit has been open since July, clearly its popularity hasn't waned! After gaining the coveted entry ticket, I proceeded to immerse myself in the 70-year history of one of France's most celebrated design houses. From the sophisticated suits of the house's early years to the majestic gowns worn by the most celebrated figures of our time, the exhibit can impress even a fashion newbie like myself.
