Star gazing is one of life's simplest but deepest pleasures, but city living can often hamper this by the sheer enormity of artificial light it gives off.
At the top of Mt. Frazier, astronomers and star enthusiasts find a measure of peace and quiet as they sit around and contemplate their place in the galaxy. There's no need to hike here, take your car up the winding road and when you get to the top, keep your headlights off so you won't hamper the night vision others have. People take their stars seriously here, but they will be kind enough to lend you their telescopes if you ask them.
Prepare for a late night, if you're hoping to catch some meteor showers. Bring a thick blanket and your tripod and DSLR camera for gorgeous star trail photos.
