Mr. C Coconut GroveWhy we love it: A stylish, Italian Riviera–inspired outpost from the Cipriani family
- A rooftop with a bar, restaurant, and pool
- Balconies in every room
- A chic, yacht-inspired design
The fourth generation of the Cipriani family has hit on a new hospitality concept with their Mr. C brand of hotels, of which the Coconut Grove property is the third to open after New York and Beverly Hills. A member of Leading Hotels of the World, this plush hotel on Biscayne Bay occupies an all-white building that recalls an Art Deco cruise ship, complete with porthole windows and balconies that jut out from every room. Interiors resemble a glamorous yacht, with high-gloss wood paneling, curved lines, and lots of blues. Even the smallest rooms are thankfully much larger than those aboard a ship and feel serene thanks to blue-and-white decor.
At check in, guests are greeted with a signature Bellini cocktail based on the Cipriani family’s original recipe. While it might be tempting to head straight for the swanky lobby bar, the place to be is really the rooftop, which features a pool with loungers and chic cabanas, plus stunning views of Coconut Grove and Biscayne Bay. Also on the roof is Mr. C’s signature bar and restaurant concept Bellini’s, serving Italian favorites like crudo, panini, pastas, and fresh seafood, as well as a poolside café with a pizza oven. Back downstairs, you’ll find Il Giardino, a garden restaurant with light Italian breakfast, snacks, salads, and sandwiches. To get your bod into Miami-appropriate shape, the hotel also has a small but very functional fitness center with TechnoGym equipment and a private spa suite with a relaxation area, sauna, and treatment room.
