Last August I joined Matt Hunter and a group of other riders for an incredible mountain bike ride around Mt. Blanc. The, approximately, 100 mile route travels through France, Italy, and Switzerland on it’s way around the highest peak in the Alps, going up and over several major mountain passes along the way. It was an arduous trek with over 20,000 feet of ascent and the weather wasn’t perfect, but it was and incredible ride on one of the most beautiful trails in the world that we will never forget.
This captures one of my favorite moments from the ride. The rain poured until we were soaked and almost hypothermic. We were shivering and caked in mud, and when we opened the door of this refugio, there was a wood fire crackling, Bob Marley on the stereo, and a pretty girl who served us fresh Spaghetti and cappuccinos!
