Monkey Beach

Within Penang National Park, this picturesque beach is named for the macaques that live in the surrounding forest. The water is safe for swimming, and if you’re lucky you’ll see a sea turtle. On weekends the beach is popular with families, who set up their picnics on the pristine white sand. The Muka Head Lighthouse is about a 40-minute walk from Monkey Beach. The trek is worth it for the sweeping sea views once you reach the lighthouse.
