Popular chef David Chang, the force behind the Momofuku empire, finally jumped Fifth Avenue, bringing lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch to Manhattan's West Side in early 2016 with the opening of this restaurant. Chang tries to evade confining the restaurant to labels, saying that he just serves "good food", but critics call the menu "Italian-Asian," meaning you can order Chang's version of cacio e pepe
as well as a dish called Shanghai
noodle. Going in a group? There are a few signature plates to share, including lobster chow mein and fried chicken. You'll probably have to be patient if you want a turn at a Chang table; his restaurants are among the city's most popular.
