Modern Greek Art Museum

Many people don’t make it out of the old quarter of Rhodes Town, but the Modern Greek Art Museum makes the effort worthwhile. Housed in a handsome stone building on a palm-lined square to the north of town, the museum has the best collection of 20th-century Greek art outside of Athens. Look out for the works of Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghikas, arguably the greatest painter the country has produced.
