The local beef is so famous in Japan that it is customary to present the champion sumo wrestler with a cow from Miyazaki. Miyachiku uses beef from the Kuroge Washu breed of cattle, also known as Japanese Black. The elegant riverside restaurant prepares its beef both grilled and as part of shabu-shabu.
