Around 25,000 square feet of warehouse space in Alexandria is subdivided into 150 market stalls that hawk an overwhelming selection of retro fashion, antique kitchenware, midcentury lighting, classic vinyl, country home décor, and kitschy collectibles. Somewhere in the rabbit warren of eclectic treasures, you might just find a brass gramophone, a taxidermy stag’s head, surfboards from the 1970s, The Dark Knight figurines, and a rocking chair like the one you had as a child. Shopping this hard works up an appetite. Luckily, Mecca Alexandria, The Grounds, and Al Aseel are all nearby for coffee, modern Australian fare, and Lebanese food, respectively.
