Red walls, Chinese lanterns, lacquer screens, and striking paintings make Miss Wong Siem Reap's most atmospheric bar. Potent cocktails make it my favorite martini-sipping spot. Tucked down a dimly-lit alley parallel to Pub Street know as The Lane, the stylish watering hole is world's away from Cambodia's mini Khao San Road. Thankfully! Call in around 6pm for pre-dinner drinks or drop by after your meal for a nightcap when you'll be mingling with Siem Reap's expats, including its tourism and hospitality community. Tip: if your hotel or guidebook can't answer those questions you've been dying to ask, hit up Dean, the Kiwi owner, who can often be found at the bar, or one of his excellent waiters for tips. If you can't manage to leave, order the dim sum to soak up the spirits.
