Out on the Olympic Peninsula, the Miller Tree Bed and Breakfast in Forks is the place to stay if you are are visiting the Hoh and Rialto Beach. It has a stunning view of the mountains, it's an easy walk to the "downtown," and they have a great homemade breakfast. It's a short drive to some hot spots in the area and was the perfect distance from Port Angeles where we were the night before.
Forks does not have a huge selection of anything in terms of food or lodging. It's a very small town, and at the moment it's main commercial drive is focused on the popular vampire books (the Twilight series is supposed to take place here). We decided to stay in Forks because we were visiting Seattle and looked for a road trip west.
Be warned that this B&B is famed to also be a character in the book and the owners are very proud to have there home represented the the famous books. We had no idea before visiting...I was totally fooled by the sign on the door that said they were out "volunteering at a blood drive" and would be back later. I never read the Twilight books or seen the movies, so it was interesting to see the propaganda. We weren't there long, but you would see cars drive through the driveway to take a photo of the famous house.
Miller Tree was kind of pricy, but it was worth it for one night and we didn't have many other options in the area. Everyone was so friendly, and it was nice to be in a bed and breakfast type place where you got to meet other travelers.
