The People's Liberation Army's toys on displayA wealth of PLA hardware and controversial history is on display at the expansive military museum near the Muxidi subway stop. Upon entry, visitors are confronted with massive missiles and foreign materiel captured in China's various conflicts. One wing of the museum is dedicated to the Korean War—or as China refers to it, the War Against American Aggression in the Korean Peninsula—which presents a revisionist and often creative retelling of that conflict's history. Admission to the museum is free but visitors must present a passport or ID card.
