Fresh Lebanese food in the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego, CA
Michoz's is a small place found on University Ave in the Hillcrest neighborhood in San Diego. My husband and I love to support local owned businesses and Michoz's is near my office, so we come here sometimes for lunch or dinner.
The food is fresh and fabulous. They obviously don't skimp on the quality of the ingredients- the olive oil tastes like it was pressed right there in the kitchen. I want to try more items from the menu, but the tilapia wrap is amazing. The baba ghanouj is the best I've had yet. My husband enjoys gourmet cooking at home and he's still trying to deconstruct the tangy battata harra (a potato side dish).
During warm, sunny days there's a patio out front you can sit on and watch the people stroll past. Or, sit inside and check out the photos taken in Beruit in the 1930's that decorate the walls.
Even though we don't come in very often, since we don't live in the area, we're greeted warmly and they always remember us.
